Privacy

This page describes how CleanSpeed currently handles data while the app is in testing.

CleanSpeed is a small project, and this page is intended to explain the current behavior as clearly as possible without making claims about features or protections that have not been verified.

Using CleanSpeed without an account

You can use the metronome without creating an account.

CleanSpeed stores practice-related information locally in your browser, including settings, exercises, sessions, practice logs, and clean-speed history.

When you use CleanSpeed without signing in, this practice data is not synced to your CleanSpeed account database.

You can remove locally stored CleanSpeed data by clearing this site's browser storage on that device.

If you sign in

Accounts are optional.

CleanSpeed uses Supabase for account authentication and database storage. Depending on the sign-in method you choose, your account may include your email address and authentication information handled by Supabase or the selected sign-in provider.

When you are signed in, CleanSpeed can store and sync practice-related data associated with your account, including:

  • exercises
  • sessions
  • practice logs
  • clean-speed history

This allows your saved practice data to be associated with your account instead of only one browser or device.

Analytics and advertising

CleanSpeed currently does not include advertising.

CleanSpeed also does not currently use product analytics to track how you practice or to build advertising profiles.

If analytics are added in the future, this privacy page will be updated.

Browser storage

CleanSpeed uses browser storage as part of normal app functionality.

This may include:

  • local storage
  • IndexedDB
  • authentication/session information
  • browser or service-worker caching used by the web app

This storage is used to make the application work and to keep practice data and settings available in the browser.

CleanSpeed does not use advertising cookies.

Feedback

If you submit feedback through the Feedback page, the information you submit is stored so it can be reviewed.

A feedback submission may include:

  • the feedback type you selected
  • your message
  • the date and time of submission
  • your email address, if you choose to provide it
  • your account reference, if you are signed in

You do not need an account to submit feedback.

Feedback is available to authorized CleanSpeed administration for the purpose of reviewing bugs, ideas, and other comments.

Technical service data

CleanSpeed relies on third-party infrastructure to operate the website, authentication, and database.

Those services may process normal technical information required to provide the service, such as IP addresses, browser or device information, request timestamps, and server logs.

CleanSpeed does not use this technical information for advertising.

More detailed information about infrastructure and log retention may be added to this page as the project develops.

Deleting your data

You can delete exercises and sessions using the controls provided in the app.

You can also remove locally stored CleanSpeed data by clearing this site's browser storage on your device.

CleanSpeed does not currently provide a self-service account deletion option.

If you want your CleanSpeed account and associated stored data removed, you can request it through the Feedback page.

A self-service account deletion option may be added later.

Changes to this page

CleanSpeed is still being tested and developed, so its data handling may change as features are added or modified.

If that happens, this page will be updated to reflect the current behavior.
